WILSHIRE GARDENS

 Having worked on a significant restaurant in the mid 1980’s,  Martin Roy Mervel AIA felt a protective responsibility as the project architect for Morphosis’ Kate Mantilini to propose landmark status a few years ago on the site of William Pereira’s 8 story (previously established landmark status) office tower along the Beverly Hills Wilshire corridor.  Our  team was charged to revitalize the main lobby, and I took this opportunity to recharge the entire ground floor public pedestrian and automobile circulation interface, focusing on the urban social status that included proposing recreation park space in the extant north site boundary edge together with suggesting a state of the art 5 level automated parking garage.
